In 2018, I found my calling in a deeply personal way. Living in Texas at the time, I saw something that moved me into action. Many officiants were refusing to marry LGBTQIA+ couples, and it broke my heart. Love is love, and everyone deserves to celebrate their union with a ceremony that honors who they are. That’s when I decided to become an officiant myself, ensuring that every couple, no matter their gender or sexual orientation, had the opportunity to experience a meaningful and beautiful ceremony.

Since that moment, I’ve had the privilege of officiating a wide variety of ceremonies. Weddings hold a special place in my heart. There’s something magical about standing with couples on one of the most important days of their lives, weaving their unique love stories into a ceremony that reflects their values and journey. I believe that every love story is sacred, and it’s my joy to celebrate each one with the care and respect it deserves.

But my work goes beyond weddings. I also offer funeral services, which I approach with deep compassion and grace. Helping families say goodbye to their loved ones with dignity and love is something I am truly honored to do. Funerals are about more than just mourning a loss—they’re a chance to celebrate a life, and I feel privileged to guide families through that process.

And then, there’s house cleansing. Whether you’re moving into a new home or seeking peace in the space you’ve lived in for years, I offer spiritual cleansings to bring light and positive energy into your space. It’s a beautiful way to mark a new beginning or refresh the energy in your home, and I love helping people feel at peace in their surroundings.

In 2022, I moved to Iowa with my two daughters. After building a community of love and inclusion in Texas, I’m so excited to bring that same passion here. Iowa has become our home, and I’m eager to serve the local community with the same care, kindness, and dedication that has defined my work from the beginning.

As a mother, I’m raising my daughters to understand the importance of kindness, inclusion, and standing up for what’s right. It’s a lesson that shapes my work as an officiant every day. Whether I’m celebrating a wedding, honoring a life, or blessing a home, I do it with love, respect, and a deep belief that everyone deserves to have their story honored.

At 39, I feel like I’m just getting started. Soulful Unions is more than a business to me—it’s a calling. I look forward to helping more people in Iowa celebrate their most important moments with ceremonies that are thoughtful, inclusive, and filled with love. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey. It’s a privilege I never take for granted.
